What is Plenti?
Plenti is a reward program introduced by American Express in 2015. The working of this reward program is quite different from other such systems. And to use this reward program, you do not require a credit card. A person can earn Plenti points on top of the cash back or other rewards they are already getting with credit cards.
Every 1,000 Plenti points a person earns is equal to $10. They can use these points to save on any purchases at Exxon, Macy’s, Mobil and Rite Aid. All you have to do to use your points at checkout is give you Plenti Card or provide your phone number. Have You Ever Wondered How A Credit Card Works?

Upon registration, you’ll want to connect your Plenti rewards account with the rewards account at some of the participating stores.

How to redeem my Plenti points?
You can redeem some points at the participating merchants’ right there and then. You also have the online option open to redeem.
What are the Drawbacks of Plenti Card?
You might want to consider these things before getting a Plenti Card.
The number of partners associated with Plenti is limited. There are only three travel partners: Alamo, Enterprise and National. Then there are two fuel partners: Exxon and Mobil. If you love to travel, then check this out to Know the Best Travel Credit Card.
With Expedia, you need to activate offers in order to earn Plenti points. So that’s one thing. Also, due to the limited number of partners, the options to redeem your points are limited too.
How does it fare in the end?
American Express’ basic idea behind the Plenti rewards program is commendable. To be able to use one card and points at multiple retailers does mean something for the consumer. But due to the lack of variety of partners, it constricts the boundaries for the consumers to use the card freely. If you are a regular visitor of Rite Aid or Macy’s, it is a genuinely good option for you. If not, then there is no harm to look for better cards.
